Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, otherwise known as POTS, is a dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system. It affects women and men of all ages. Symptoms include dizziness/lightheadedness in standing, heart rate increase in standing, fainting, neuropathy, headaches, difficulty sleeping, fatigue, visual changes, chest pain, GI issues, heat intolerance, brain fog, exercise intolerance…. and the list goes on. The cobweb of symptoms along with a lack of medical personnel education makes it difficult to diagnosis and treat.
POTS usually is caused by something else… Mast Cell disorders, Ehler Danlos Syndrome, Viral infections, autoimmune disorders, possible genetics, etc. Lee not only works with clients with POTS, but she is also diagnosed with POTS. She UNDERSTANDS how hard it is to get proper management and education on this syndrome. She also understands how important safe, appropriate exercises (built around your toleration) are in order to help manage the symptoms of our special population. Lee is available by ZOOM one on one meetings, locally in-person one on one treatments, and in the near future, she will have a POTS exercise program online so anyone can work on their POTS through a structured exercise program. We need to STAND together!
